An accident occurred at the Sziget Festival, hvg.hu learned. According to our information, an artist was involved in an accident at the circus tent when one of the elements of a crane broke off with him.

An accident occurred on Friday afternoon at the Sziget Festival at the circus tent, hvg.hu learned. According to our information, one of the performing artists was standing on a crane, the structure became loose, pinched his leg and then fell down with him.

According to the correspondent of hvg.hu who was at the scene, someone from the French troupe La Burrasca was injured. We do not yet have official information on how serious the fallen artist’s condition is, but he was conscious when the ambulance took him away.

The site of the accident, the Cirque du Sziget, is a tent with a capacity of approximately 1,000 people and an outdoor venue. We looked for the organizers of Sziget, they promised to inform us later. We also inquired with the National Ambulance Service. As soon as we know more, we will update our article.
