Coca-Cola in Russia doubled its multi-billion profit

--

LLC Multon Partners, formerly known as Koka-Kola Eichbisi Evraziya – and which is still 100% owned by the Dutch company Coca-Cola HBC Holdings BV – was able to significantly increase its profits compared to 2022 in Russia. In numbers, this specifically means that compared to the 4.59 billion rubles (nearly twenty billion forints) profit in 2022, 10.25 billion (about forty billion forints) was achieved in 2023. We can click our tongues and say that it’s nothing, especially since Coca-Cola is no longer in Russia.

It was not only Coca-Cola’s Russian company that increased its profits

He did all this while there was a significant increase in operating costs in 2022, presumably due to changes due to the war. So in 2022, the company’s costs increased, but it was able to realize a significant profit in that year as well, and then in 2023 it was able to reduce its costs, we can say that it is close to the normal level, which was before, and thus its profit compared to the previous year he was able to double it. By the way, its profit in 2023 increased significantly compared to the last year of peace, as in 2020 and 2021 it was approx. The company made a profit of 6.7-6.8 billion, compared to this, the profit of 10.25 billion represents an increase of one and a half times.

Leaving, which is actually staying

Earlier, V4NA wrote about how Coca-Cola faked its departure from sanctions-hit Russia in a way that belied magicians. Then it turned out that the company remained the market leader in the Russian market with several products. Although it is true from the “departure” that Coca-Cola labels were officially changed to Dobry (dobrüj=good) Cola, nothing more happened than that. By the way, the Dobry brand name was already owned by the Russian Coca-Cola company long before, so there was no need to introduce a new brand. Let’s add that the taste of Dobry and Coca-Cola is eerily similar, perhaps the difference is as much as there is in the taste of Coca-Cola distributed in some countries anyway.

Clarification

The company cleverly announced that in the future this company will not distribute products under the Coca-Cola and Fanta brand names. And this is worded in such a way that if someone misunderstood, then it is their problem.

The picture was taken on November 28, 2023 in a Russian store where you could still officially buy original Coca-Cola.

He also previously featured a video on Origo’s TikTok channel.

But there are also other international brands on the shelves of Russian hypermarkets, such as the Milka, as we wrote about it earlier.

Time-stamped photo showing that Milka is still (November 2023) on the shelves of Russian stores.
