The merry-go-round wind vanes of the world-famous Moulin Rouge (Red Mill) in Paris have broken off, the fire department of the French capital announced, according to MTI.

One of the most popular attractions in Paris, the Moulin Rouge, will be 135 years old in October, and thousands of tourists take photos in front of it every day. According to the information provided by the nightclub, they hold two performances every evening and have around 600,000 guests a year.

ACCORDING TO AN OFFICIAL OF THE MOULIN ROUGE, THIS IS THE FIRST SUCH ACCIDENT IN THE HISTORY OF THE AMUSEMENT, OPENED IN 1889, AND THEY DON’T KNOW WHAT CAUSED IT EITHER.

He noted that fortunately the accident happened after closing time on Wednesday evening. He added that the management of the amusement park checks the operation of the mill’s wind blades every week, and no errors were found.

According to the official statement, no one was injured in the accident that occurred at dawn on Thursday, and there is no danger of the building collapsing further. The reason for the fall of the wind blades has not yet been determined.
