It seems that Die Welt, which deals with a not-so-friendly approach to Hungary, and its readers are increasingly open to the Hungarian position on the Russian-Ukrainian war.

Even the fact that the author of Welt drew attention in his publicism to the fact that everyone who considers Hungary and Slovakia to be vassals of Russia is wrong, because their actions prove otherwise – and it seems that the readers of the dominant German paper also agree with this.

We can be grateful to Hungary and Slovakia for intensive cooperation with German companies dealing with the military industry

– writes one of them, referring to the fact that the arms manufacturing giant Rheinmetall, for example, manufactures its new Lynx infantry fighting vehicle in Hungary, while the Várpalota plant is being expanded to manufacture ammunition. The commenter noted that while the Hungarians buy German weapons from EU sources, Poland, for example, uses the collected money to do business with South Korea and the United States.

Another drew attention to the fact that this is called pragmatic politics, while one Welt reader is at a loss as to why it is condemnable if some countries do not want to arm Ukraine, and he personally finds it condemnable that Brussels makes decisions that most citizens of an EU country do not even support it.
