According to the paper the 115th was commissioned by the Ukrainian General Staff to replace the 47th mechanized brigade, which had proven itself in many battles, their task would have been to stop the Russians in the area of the fortified village of Ocretine. However, the front line was broken, the Russians almost completely occupied the settlement in a few days.
The Russians had such an easy time because – according to the commander of the 47th – the 115s let them down.
When the enemy got close to the village, the shift ran, they simply held themselves and left their trenches and bunkers and retreated.
The Ukrainian General Staff eventually turned the 47s back, now they are trying to stop the Russian advance in the Ocretine area. On the other hand, the said unit, no matter how well trained and equipped it is, was turned back from rotation, and this can affect the morale and energy level of the soldiers.
Forbes also goes on to describe it as: low morale in the Ukrainian armed forces is becoming systemic. The same thing that happened to the 115th, also happened to the 67th mechanized brigade, and because of this the formation was reorganized.
The newspaper states: although the United States has started to replenish the Ukrainian forces again, fresh, rested and motivated soldiers are also neededwho can use the tools.
