(One of the best TVs in the world) is also being sent into battle in Hungary

--

The ruler of the sector would conquer the Hungarian market with TVs enhanced with artificial intelligence this year. In addition to the super innovative and extremely expensive pieces, there will also be cheap new models on offer.

The up-and-coming Chinese TV manufacturers, supported by a merciless state tailwind, have taken a huge bite out of the pie in recent years. And by 2023, LG, which seemed to be second for a long time, was pushed off the podium globally. However, Samsung, which has confidently dominated the sector for almost twenty years, is still stable. At least this is evidenced by last year’s sales data, according to which the concern has a global market share of 30.1 percent.

The company is also the market leader in Hungary, and according to the signs, they do not intend to change this. The company’s domestic representation officially presented the devices that are being sent into battle in the battle for customers’ favors.

And at the event, it was revealed that, unlike several former dominant rivals (e.g. Sony, Philips), the concern does not let go of cheaper models and does not only focus on the highly profitable premium segment.

This is perfectly proven by the fact that a 32-inch HD Ready television, introduced years ago, was also kept in the range.

Entertainment center and workstation in one

The fact that even Samsung’s most basic 2024 TV is a smart device with 4K resolution clearly shows where the development of the industry is today. The latest Tizen smart TV system included in new TVs naturally supports the use of online streaming (Netflix, YouTube and others).

Samsung TVs have arrived in Hungary.

Thanks to cloud-based gaming services, you can have fun with high-end games in normal quality, without the need for a separate high-performance PC or console. There are also various apps for listening to music or karaoke.

In addition, Microsoft documents uploaded to the cloud, the mail client, and Skype can be opened. Of course, televisions can also be used as monitors. Thanks to everything, they can also be used as work tools, and even the smart home can be controlled from them. Although it is a fact that a phone or tablet is more suitable for the latter.

In today’s world where everything is connected, security is of great importance, even for TVs.

Because it is possible to virtually break into users’ homes through such a device, personal or bank card data can even be obtained. There have already been examples of hackers making botnet zombies out of televisions or washing machines. For this reason, Samsung has extended its multi-level Knox protection system, developed completely in-house, which has already been proven for mobile phones and uses various artificial intelligence procedures, to televisions as well.

AI – invisible helper

AI does not appear only in the security system, as the higher-end 8K, Neo QLED and OLED televisions received new processors that received various artificial intelligence procedures. They work practically invisibly, receding into the background, and their main task is to improve and optimize visuals and sound.

Among them, the so-called upscaling seems to be the most important, which provides a way to improve lower resolution materials. This means, for example, that the advantages offered by 8K (7680×4320 pixels) models offering extremely high detail can be used even if the source material itself is only 4K (3840×2160 pixels) or Full HD (1920×1080 pixels). In addition, the chips are also able to recognize the type of content currently playing and automatically adjust the settings for the best possible end result.

On the other hand, those who expect such spectacular functions as the company’s new top phones presented at the beginning of the year can boast of, will be disappointed. However, there would be potential in real-time translation, for example, in foreign language stand-up performances or sports broadcasts, where only one person typically speaks anyway.

Top TVs in Hungary

The company is fielding a very serious and versatile army in the top category in Hungary this year. There will be Neo QLED, i.e. 8K LCD television supported by special backlighting and quantum dots. The world’s first and so far the only OLED TV with a matte display, the S95D, is also available in Hungary.

The fact that there is no disturbing glare and reflection is an absolute added value, and thanks to the quantum precision aid, there is no need to make disturbing compromises in terms of brightness either.

This product was very convincing live, but the real big bang is the first Micro LED TV that is officially available in Hungary.

This imaging technology guarantees stunningly clear and vivid colors, outstanding brightness and flawless contrast. Next to it, the more traditional Neo QLED TV, which otherwise stands out from the field, looked quite pale.

We here at Forbes predicted the breakthrough of Micro LED years ago, and it seems that something has really moved in this area. Although the technology is still prohibitively expensive, the quality of the image carries everything. We can’t wait to try this in a test, which we received a promise from the company’s management.
