The Star Wars and Westworld actress could also join Wednesday’s Season 2

--

The 8-episode season 1 of Wednesday, starring Jenna Ortega, debuted on Netflix in November 2022. The story, laced with supernatural elements, follows the student years of the character known from the Addams Family. The production was a huge success, becoming the third series in Netflix history to reach 1 billion hours of viewing. So it was not surprising that a month and a half after the premiere, the 2nd stage of the series was ordered.

The shooting of the new season was delayed due to the Hollywood screenwriters’ strike and the actors’ work stoppage, and the work will finally begin at the end of April this year. It was previously revealed that Emmy and Golden Globe winner Steve Buscemi will also play in the series, and now a new name has joined the cast. According to Variety , the Solo: A Star Wars Story and Westworld actress, Thandiwe Newton will also appear in the 2nd season, however, there is no information about his character yet. When contacted by the site, Netflix declined to comment on the news.
