NEW EXHIBITION AT THE BLACK HOUSE

Two new exhibitions are opening this week at Fekete ház in Szeged. On Thursday, i.e. today, an exhibition of special works by János Balázs, a Roma painter from Salgótarján, will be presented. And on Friday, the world’s first Romani fashion studio, Romani Design, opens its doors to an exhibition showcasing the beautiful clothes.

THE ROWING EC STARTS IN SZEGED

From Thursday to Sunday, the European rowing championship, as well as the continental and paraqualification regatta, take place on the Maty river in Szeged. After the closing of entries, the program was finalized, so on Thursday the qualifying heats will be held from 9:00 a.m. and only one hope race will take place on the first day of the continental championship.

540 athletes from 35 countries will come to Szeged for one of the most important sports events before the Paris Olympics, nine Hungarian units will compete for European medals and five for the Paris quota. Hungarians have participated in rowing at every Olympics since 1932. The last time Hungary hosted the adult rowing European Championship was 54 years ago, when the women’s competition was hosted by the Öreg-tó in Tata.
