Donald Trump’s former lawyer Rudy Giuliani is among 18 people charged in Arizona with illegally trying to obtain the state’s 2020 electoral votes. The indictment names Trump as an unindicted co-conspirator.
The charge is related to the case that Trump and his allies tried to influence the election results in several states. However, the indictment itself will only be made public after it has been served on all the accused. Also among the defendants is an unnamed chief of staff, whose position was held by Mark Meadow in 2020. Reuters reached out for confirmation, but has yet to receive a response.

Giuliani’s spokesman, Goodman, also called the Arizona indictment an example of the judicial system being used as a weapon, which he said should be of concern to all Americans because it would cause irreversible damage to the country.
Trump, Giuliani and Meadow were also charged in Georgia with racketeering conspiracy to alter election results. None of them pleaded guilty. (Reuters)
