On Tuesday evening in Szeged, on the Huszár Mátyás wharf, a Mercedes crashed into the Szeged bridgehead of the Belvárosi híd. The vehicle was split in two, and the driver was seriously injured – we wrote earlier. Now it turned out that the accident happened on Tuesday at around 11:00 p.m., and the driver was driving from the direction of the Novotel towards Belvárosi híd, then skidded because he was not driving in accordance with the road and visibility conditions.

We learned from the Csongrád-Csanád County Police Headquarters that the driver was unfortunately ejected from the vehicle as a result of the collision because his seat belt was not fastened. The police drew attention to the importance of wearing a seat belt.
