--

A car and a truck crashed on the M2 highway in the Vác area, between the 37th and 38th kilometers, the disaster management website reported.

A person is lifted out of the car by professional firefighters from Vác and Budapest performing technical rescue.

The works, which are also assisted by Vác volunteer firefighters, are managed by the Pest County Disaster Management Service, they wrote. Ambulances are also on site. The entire width of the affected road section was closed.

The driver of the car had no chance.

In the Facebook group I heard in Vác, an eyewitness wrote that there was also a fatality in the accident.

I called the ambulance, police, etc. with another guy. we ran there but unfortunately there was no chance… my condolences to the family! Another senseless death

the commenter wrote.

He set off with suicidal intent from the start. He was traveling at 120-140 before the crash.

He added: the driver who crashed into the car was ahead of the line by approximately 120-140 km/h before the collision. Disaster management and the police have not yet published official information about the causes of the accident.

UPDATE: According to unconfirmed information, the victim of the accident notified the police with suicidal intentions, but they were unable to stop him either. His farewell letter was also found in the car next to him.
