A 5- and 8-year-old brother and sister died and 15 others were injured when a car plowed into a crowd celebrating a birthday. The horror accident happened at a boat club in Berlin Township, Michigan (USA). According to reports, the driver, a 66-year-old woman, was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
The police confirmed that the 5-year-old boy and his 8-year-old sister died, and 8 children were among the 15 injured. The condition of 9 injured people is critical, they were transported to the hospital by ambulance helicopter and are currently fighting for their lives. The arriving paramedics found a crowd of crying and screaming people, and wrote in their report that they were greeted by chaotic conditions.
The 66-year-old woman ran drunk into the building at high speed, just hitting the members of the children’s jury. He stopped at least 25 meters deep in the building. The driver was taken into custody.
