Overseas, they are trying to convince as many customers as possible about the RX 7900 models with continuous promotions, but the price reduction in domestic stores is only moderate for now.

More and more wild rumors are coming to light about the Radeon generation coming this year, while the most powerful development of all time may be knocking on the integrated line, rather disappointing data has come to light regarding dedicated video cards. Gamers looking for gaming notebooks will surely welcome the appearance of the Ryzen APU code-named Strix Halo, equipped with an IGP with 40 CU units, but those who struggle with separate VGAs may now permanently switch to the side of the greens.

If the rumors are to be believed at all, that the RDNA4 architecture will not be used as a top-of-the-line chip, the successor to the current XTX model, but the engineers are preparing a very strong upper-midrange portfolio, aiming for the best possible price-value ratio. We could still be happy about this, but it seems that the new series will not get the GDDR7 memory chips that were recently officially announced, but GDDR6 will remain, and what’s more, it’s a slightly lower speed version. It’s hard to believe all this, in any case, the price correction of the current top models on the North American market is almost continuous, the manufacturer is simultaneously trying to win over more users and prepare the ground for new products.

The wild rumors could be verified with the new price reduction and promotion period, which this time specifically drives the demand for the RX 7900 XTX. The suggested retail price of $999 has not been valid for some time anyway, and the new price level of $840 could in theory once again generate some additional store sales. Powercolor is currently participating in the promotion, but if e.g. you have to look around the domestic market, then Gigabyte stands to win in the price competition.

The gross price of the Gaming OC variant of HUF 404,000 is very fair, and we must not forget that the HUF-euro exchange rate is just above HUF 390; we would already be in a slightly more favorable situation under HUF 400,000. The release of the Sapphire Pulse is also not far off, although the current price level for this type has been valid since March, we could say that it is stable despite the fluctuating exchange rate. On the other hand, the price of the little brother has dropped further, the RX 7900 XT Pulse’s minimum price of 311,000 is thought-provoking, and it is clearly a better buy compared to certain GRE versions.

As for the RX 8000 cards, it is not yet known whether the new generation will be discussed at Computex in Taiwan in the early summer. AMD’s press event focuses primarily on Ryzen and AI capabilities, but perhaps a few words about video cards are in order; if the new product strategy is really true, then there is no point in waiting for the bombastic RTX 5090, and replacing the Navi 31s may be justified from a cost perspective. But before we jump too far and give even more space to rumours, let’s focus our attention on the RX 7900 XT/XTX, which rightly deserves the limelight, the 20-24 GB of VRAM was not carried by the wind onto the printed circuits.
