The Nintendo Wii is one of the most successful and best-selling consoles in the world. Now, however, it can even fit in our pocket if we are clever.

26.04.2024 – Despite being considered revolutionary, when the Nintendo Wii was released, no one thought it would become one of the best-selling consoles in the world. Of course, fiddling around with a remote controller is a lot of fun, so it’s understandable that people are hooked. If only because it is a console that all members of the family can enjoy. In the case of a PlayStation 5, it is not a problem if you know how to use the controller and play various single or multiplayer games.

The Wii, on the other hand, is a huge party, especially games like Mario Party or Wii Sports. Everyone knows what it’s like to play badminton, so Wii Sports can and has captivated even the little ones, from grandmothers on up, because it is the console’s best-selling game to this day. The pandemic caused by the coronavirus brought about the resurgence of the machine, suddenly everyone wanted a Wii in their living room again, so that in addition to being at home, a little exercise could be combined. In short, the Wii has become a wildly successful machine that will likely be at the top of Nintendo’s charts for a long time to come.

How big is it?!

In light of this, I think it is not surprising that there are such fans who want to take their Wii with them everywhere. However, no matter how fun it is to play with it, it is not so much fun to carry the engine house with you everywhere, and especially not space-friendly. It is lucky that the technology itself is not new, which means that the equipment can even be shrunk. An enthusiastic tech team has now managed to shrink the 2006 machine to an incredibly small size.

Short Stack is the fully functional Nintendo Wii, made using custom circuits and 3D printing, and which is only the size of a deck of cards. Two other attempts (Noidtronics Wii Nano and Shank Mods Kill Mii) have previously claimed this title, but now it seems that at least the Tom’s Hardware that the glory really belongs to the Short Stack. HVG writes.

What makes it all the more exciting is that basically anyone can make this mod for themselves, of course the developers of Short Stack pointed out that it will not be easy for entrepreneurs. The documentation and instructions have already been published on GitHub, so all you need is good dexterity and a little determination, and any of you can already have a pocket Wii.
