Gothic 1 Remake, which will be a complete remake of the classic RPG from 2001, has been in the works for four years in Alkimia Interactive’s witches’ kitchen, and according to the latest images, the end result will be quite impressive with Unreal Engine 5. The characters are almost alive and the environment is almost alive, the textures are sharp and clean. They deserve an imaginary pat on the back.
The story does not change, this time we control the Nameless Hero, who arrives as a prisoner in the kingdom, where wild animals, strange creatures and dangerous criminals pepper him under his nose as he tries to stay alive. The developers are modernizing the combat system, which is appropriate, since the original used a rather low-cost solution.
The limited edition Collector’s Edition is now available for pre-order for 199 euros in the THQ Nordic store. In addition to the Sleeper Wall Mask, the collector’s edition includes a leather wrist strap, a leather-covered notebook, the game’s soundtrack and, of course, the game itself for the selected platform.
Gothic 1 Remake doesn’t have a date yet, but let’s hope that it will be released on PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 later this year.
