Cyan has delighted us with the first official gameplay trailer for the Riven remake, which showcases a new kind of exploration and mobility from the 1997 game, now in full 3D and coming out later this year.
Using Unreal Engine 5, the team from the ground up rebuilt the game’s environment and legendary puzzles, from the rotating room to the imaging cage. It also offers new puzzles, an expanded story and, of course, modern visuals for both old and new players.
It has also been revealed that Shannon Woodward (The Last of Us Part II’s Dinah, Raising Hope’s Sabrina, Westworld’s Elsie) and journalist Ronan Farrow (From Up on Poppy Hill, AREA MAN LIVES) will join as voice actors. They will play two new characters not in the original Riven.
They will be joined by actor and comedian Lauren Gamiel (Lighthouse), Russell Webster and Cyan Worlds CEO and co-founder Rand Miller, who will reprise his role as Atrus.
