The story of Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection is really disappointing, because after the notoriously horrible start (which we also reported on in our test), a big update package arrived barely a week later, which fixed most of the serious errors. This in itself was great news (and the minimum you would expect from Aspyr), but it’s also good news that the studio hasn’t stopped updating the pack that includes the two classic Battlefronts.

Now, the second big patch package has finally arrived, targeting the remaining known bug. Most of the changes affect the stability of the game and the online functions, which means that from now on it may happen less often that we get stuck on the loading screen, the game crashes or the online server search becomes entangled with itself. In addition, the team has also refined the visual effects in many places, so the previously blinding object surfaces or flashing lights will be less disturbing. You can find the full list of fixes here.

Although we are always happy to see such improvements, it is a sad fact that the team could not prepare for the release day with this. The Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection, which in its current state can be called a fair remaster package, still has only 21% positive feedback on Steam. According to SteamDB data, at the time of writing, only 52 people are playing it on the platform, and the 24-hour peak traffic was only 117 people.
