Car manufacturers are venturing into a new area of mobility, after the Nio, Polestar, freely owned by Volvo, announced its first phone. The purposefully named Polestar Phone product will be launched in China for the first time, the purchase price of 7,388 yuan should be understood as HUF 376,000.
According to the Chinese press release, it is a phone “designed by artificial intelligence” that combines Scandinavian design with extreme simplicity and luxury. The device really looks extremely sophisticated, some may even find it familiar after it was introduced once in early March under the name Meizu P21 Pro. Both Meizu and Volvo are owned by the Chinese Geely, so even if it is not made in-house, it is the result of collaboration within the company group.

In addition to the branding and presentation, the Polestar Phone differs from the Meizu-branded version in that it comes with a mobile app designed to manage the functions of Polestar cars, although at the moment it is actually only compatible with the Polestar 4.
In terms of its hardware, the smartphone has an absolute premium category, 6.79-inch AMOLED touch display with 1368×3192 pixels, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 system chip, has 16 GB of memory, and 1 TB of storage. In addition to the wide (50MP) and ultrawide (13MP) viewing angles, it also has a 10 MP telephoto rear camera, and its 5050 mAh battery can be charged via wire with 80 watts and wirelessly with 50 watts. And these are the specifications of a real high-end phone, and not too expensive.
Unfortunately, it is not yet known whether the Polestar Phone will be available outside of China, and if it does reach our country, how much it will cost, we are looking forward to trying it out.
