The Pixel 9 family will have three members this year, no size difference is expected between the basic model and the Pro, but the Pro will get more cameras on the back with a periscope telephoto lens. The successor to the Pixel 8 Pro will be the Pixel 9 Pro XL, which can only differ in size from the plain Pixel 9 Pro mobile phone. Several photos of the latter have been uploaded to the Internet via a Montenegrin site, and one of them shows the new product next to an iPhone 15 Pro Max, which helps to roughly define the dimensions that can be expected for the new Google phones.

In addition to the Tensor G4 chip, according to the photos, 16 GB of operational memory manufactured by Micron will be added to the Pixel 9 Pro. UFS storage is supplied by Samsung, of which the Pixel shown in the picture has 128 GB, which will probably be the standard equipment. But other parts manufactured by Samsung are also expected in the new Google phone, for example the Exynos 5400 modem, through which the phone will supposedly be able to conduct satellite communication.

The Pixel 9 Pro will use much straighter edges, making it even more similar to current Samsung and Apple phones. The USB-C connector remains at the bottom of the straight frame, the SIM tray next to it, the buttons to the right, and an antenna outlet at the top. The placement of the cameras is unchanged, but the camera strip will not stand out from the metal frame, but simply from the glass back.
