According to the news, 28-year-old Korey Cunningham, who played for the Arizona Cardinals, New England Patriots and New York Giants during his active career, was found dead in his home in New Jersey.
The latter team wrote in a statement that they were saddened to learn of the devastating news, Cunningham was a vitally important part of the spirit and camaraderie of the locker room. Their thoughts are with Korey’s family, friends and teammates.
Cunningham arrived in the NFL in 2018, in the seventh round of the player exchange, in the 254th place, selected by the Arizona Cardinals. The offensive tackle spent one season in Arizona before continuing his career with the New England Patriots. Finally, from 2021 to 2022, he was a player with the New York Giants, who terminated his contract in August 2023.
He played a total of 31 games in the NFL, six of which he was a starter. The cause of his death is still unknown.
