It was twice behind, but in the end Erik ten Hag’s team won 4-2.

The teams replaced the postponed championship of the 29th round. The home team started better, already in the 30th second Foderingham had to make a big save, pushing Dalot’s long shot over the crossbar.

A serious superiority in ball possession led United to corners, while the guests would have tried to counter.

Unfortunately, it was clear again that the Manchester team were not really dangerous at the goal this time either, at the end of the first quarter of an hour, Garnacho’s attempt could be called the biggest opportunity, but the goalkeeper definitely saved it.

In the middle of the half, the Red Devils finally had a serious chance, Garnacho was in a huge mess, he pushed the ball around the penalty spot, but his shot was pushed to the side by the visitors’ goalkeeper with an amazing save.

Antony also woke up and tried two shots, but one was blocked and another missed the goal.

In the 31st minute, Hojlund received a great pass from Eriksen, but his shot missed the goalkeeper, and the score remained 0-0. This result was already very flattering for the Sheffielders, who had even fewer encounters with the game than at the beginning of the match.

Foderingham played in the form of his life, in the 33rd minute Fernandes’ flat cross found Mainoo empty-handed, who rolled smartly, but the goalkeeper got down and made a great save. But if he hadn’t done it, there wouldn’t have been a goal either, as Fernandes was off guard.

In the 35th minute, Sheffield took the lead out of nowhere! Onana sold the ball, Bogle burst into the goal and shot past the goalkeeper into the net. Typical…

Four minutes later, Fernandes’ attempt was confidently saved by the visitors’ goalkeeper.

In the 42nd minute, Fernandes’ free kick was collected by Garnacho on the long range, the Argentine made a great arc in front of the goal, and Maguire’s slip ended up in the net, United equalized!

The home team could have taken the lead even before the break. Hojlund put a curved ball down to Garnacho, who shot well, but Foderingham parried it with unearthly bravery.

After the turn, the home team started a little sleepy, which took its toll, as the visitors took the lead again in the 50th minute, this time through Brereton Diaz, who shot Osborn’s pass into the goal from close range.

In the 56th minute, an inbound ball was missed by Holgate, Dalot was in a huge situation, but Trusty was able to poke the ball away from Diogo. It was a huge save.

After a corner from Manchester, Dalot dug the ball into the goal, but before that the referee had already blown his whistle, as he awarded a penalty due to a foul against Maguire. Fernandes stood behind the ball and confidently shot into the goal, 2-2!

In the 67th minute, inches separated Sheffield from another lead. Brereton Diaz’s shot bounced off Maguire, Onana had already gone in the direction of the long shot, but the ball bounced right towards the short one, luckily the player avoided the goal.

The meeting calmed down a bit, then in the 81st minute, the home team took the lead out of nowhere. Fernandes received the ball and thought he was going to hit the goal from 27 meters, he didn’t miss the target, he scored with a great shot.

United scored another goal four minutes later. Dalot crossed in front of Fernandes, who crossed to the middle, Hojlund arrived and shot into the goal from close range, 4-2!

From a free kick, Hamer tried to bring his team closer to a tie, but he failed.

The visiting team tried to beautify, but the defense was well on its feet and was able to save in the corner on several occasions.

Finally, we saw a match in which there were sometimes nice plays and even though the two goals conceded were a lot, luckily this time we managed to score four and get the 3 points.
