The men’s and women’s national teams have qualified, as well as a pair of referees will be there at the Paris Olympics.

The Olympic handball tournament in Paris will be full of Hungarians, because after both the men’s and women’s national teams have qualified, a pair of referees (Judge Adam and Little Oliver) was also sent to the games. In addition to them, five Hungarian beach handball players and a coach can represent Hungary at the presentation of the sport.

It hasn’t happened in 44 years that both our teams and referees were at the Olympics, so Hungarian participation is complete.

If we add the beach handball players to this, we really can’t miss it. I congratulate Ádám Bíró and Olivér Kiss, as well as the entire Hungarian referee society and our sports diplomats, as this is also their success! The best referees will be there at the Olympics, we are proud that two Hungarians among them will be able to officiate at the games,” he said Ferenc Ilyéspresident of the Hungarian Handball Association.

The MKSZ website notes that most recently in 2000, a Jenő KlucsóLekrinszki Tivadar pairs represented the Hungarian referees at the Olympics.
