– In recent years, young coaches such as Thiago Motta, Vincenzo Italiano and Raffaele Palladino have become more and more popular, but there are others who will bring much less to the table than them, yet they still manage to find a place. It depends a lot on the relationships. That’s why it’s smart for someone like me who can’t find an opportunity in Italy to go abroad, because the world market is much bigger than the Italian market, Rossi believes.
The Italian-Hungarian specialist added that in the past period he also said no to a foreign offer, because he does not feel that he should leave.
– I have a contract with the Hungarian association until December 2025, and as the president said, he would like me to stay here until the end of my career and then be a consultant in the association. I feel very respected and loved, so I see no reason to change. I didn’t get a call from Serie A, but I had other interesting offers, including from the Premier League, but after my trip with the Hungarian national team, I didn’t feel it was right to leave. I had an offer in December, but I didn’t feel it was right to think about it before the European Championship – Rossi is quoted by Origó, referring to the Italian portal.
In June, the Hungarian national team will participate in the continental competition in Germany, where they will face Scotland, Switzerland and the host team in the group stage.
