One hundred million euros can be paid for Sporting’s Swedish-Hungarian striker, whose mysterious goal joy keeps Europe in a frenzy

The 25-year-old Swedish-Hungarian striker Viktor Gyökeres is having an excellent season at Sporting Lisbon. With another victory, the club can become champions already this weekend, the player took part in the march with 24 championship hits. The center also attracted the interest of the German magazine Kicker, as they can pay up to 100 million dollars for it, which is the buyout price.

Gyökeres moved from Coventry to Sporting last summer, the Portuguese paid 21 million euros for him, and as the example shows, they made a great deal. They signed a contract with him until 2028, Chelsea raised the 100 million buyout clause in the winter, but since then we have also heard of interest from Arsenal, Milan and even Dortmund. Since the Swedes did not make it to the European Championship, he cannot show his skills at the tournament.

It is not only his change of club that keeps the entire press in a frenzy, but also his mysterious goal joy. He clasps his fingers in front of his mouth and holds his thumb up. So far, he has not revealed what his gesture symbolizes.

“Many people have already guessed that neither Hannibal Lecter nor Batman was close to reality. If we win the championship, maybe I’ll tell you,” he said.

Gyökeres made his debut in the Swedish national team in 2019, he has already proven himself in competitive matches, so there is no chance that he will be part of the Hungarian national team.
