Under the leadership of Chema Rodriguez, the Hungarian men’s handball team made it to the Summer Olympic Games in Paris, and the same squad won it in Tatabánya in mid-March. On the last day of the domestic men’s handball Olympic qualifier, we won the opportunity to play in Paris against Portugal, so the Hungarian team will be at the Olympics again after 2012.

There was no need to do the math, because the formula was simple: if the Hungarian national team wins, it will definitely qualify for the Summer Olympics in Paris. The draw was already in favor of the Portuguese.

The 2025 men’s handball world championship is jointly organized by Croatia, Denmark and Norway. During the qualifiers, it is decided in a round-robin system, i.e. in two matches, which teams qualify for the tournament. Our men’s national team will play for the first time on May 9, in the Lithuanian capital, and then on Sunday they can fight for a place in the tournament in the second leg in Veszprém.
