Index – Sport – Breathtaking video, the Olympic champion ski jumper flew 291 meters

--

Kobajasi surpassed the official world record by 37.5 meters in the Hlidarfjall ski resort. According to the report of the Croatian Index, the Japanese ski jumper flew to 256, then 259 and 282 meters as a warm-up, but he felt that he would be able to surpass his third best attempt – and in the end he was right.

During his biggest jump, Kobajasi spent a total of eight seconds in the air, and at one point he burst above the ground at a speed of 107.5 kilometers per hour.

According to the news, the daredevil ski jumper not only tried to break the record, but also amazingly tried to sail 300 meters in the air, which apparently did not work out for him.

This did not dampen the spirits of the Japanese, as he and those around him knew that he had made an amazing jump. To give you an idea: 291 meters corresponds to the length of more than two and a half football fields.

“I’ve dreamed of this jump for a long time, I’ve always wanted to fly farther than everyone else. I love pushing the limits,” said the Japanese athlete with a big grin on his face after his historic flight.
