According to the news, the company supports the Serbian Crvena zvezda with an amount equivalent to nearly HUF 2 billion annually, and the FTC can expect something similar.

FTC finished at the top of the NB I for the sixth time in a row, and won its 35th league title in its history.

In terms of financial opportunities, the other members of the field have not yet been able to compete with Fradi, and the scissors may open even further if the club signs a sponsorship contract with the Russian Gazprom, the world’s largest natural gas producer. A few days ago, Nemzeti Sport wrote that the FTC has been negotiating with a global company that previously supported top league clubs for almost a year. The sports paper did not name the company, but according to Blikk, it is an open secret that it is Gazprom.

The tabloid mentions that Gazprom was the shirt sponsor of Germany’s Schalke 04 for 15 years, but the company’s name was removed from Gelsenkirchen’s kit when Russia invaded Ukraine in January 2022.

At the same time, Crvena zvezda in Belgrade is still supported by the Russian company, and Blikk knows that Gazprom contributed 5 million euros (almost HUF 2 billion) to the budget of the Serbian club.

“The fact that Gazprom appears in a European Union country will be strange in international circles, it will certainly have a negative impact, but officially the FTC cannot be sanctioned, just as it cannot be imposed on Zvezda,” he told Blikk Gábor Szabados sports economist.

The Brazilian from Fradi joined the national team on X

Marquinhos He has played in 44 games in the FTC so far this season, scoring 6 goals and 10 assists. It seems that the 24-year-old Brazilian winger feels good in Hungary, as he wrote on X that he would like to play in the Hungarian national team. The Hungarian team includes several naturalized players (Willi Orbán, Callum Styles, Loic Nego), among them only Nego is the one who does not have Hungarian ancestry. The Parisian-born soccer player played in Újpest, then played in Fehérvár between 2015 and 2023, and he received citizenship in February 2019.

Marquinhos arrived at Fradi in February 2022, in which he has played in 92 games so far.
