Europe’s favorite Mitsubishi got a new face!

--

The Mitsubishi ASX is updated with a completely redesigned front end

Europe’s best-selling Mitsubishi, the ASX, has undergone a thorough update. This compact SUV also gets a completely new front end, which continues to follow the brand’s trademark Dynamic Shield scheme. However, apart from the Mitsubishi lettering on the radiator grille – and the tailgate – it is identical to the Renault Captur, just like before the creases.

Like its French brother, the ASX also received software tuning, which primarily means the default integration of Google services. Thus, in the new model, favorite places or frequent routes can be accessed on Maps without a smartphone – the service was previously not available in any European Mitsubishi. From now on, parking has also become safer, as the improved parking assistant is part of the package on certain equipment levels, which detects suitable places for the car, but the rear cross traffic monitoring system has also been included – thus making maneuvering safer.

ASX has become much smarter in terms of software

On the engine front, there are no changes compared to before. The entry-level 1.0-liter gasoline engine with a six-speed manual transmission is available, but it will also be available as a mild hybrid with a 1.3-liter power source, or as a full hybrid with a 1.6-liter also with a gasoline drivetrain from June this year.
