The Ministry of Construction and Transport issued a new draft law on Monday, based on which the government would rewrite the decree on the detailed rules for the training and examination of road drivers and road traffic specialists, 24.hu reported.
Based on the draft for public consultation until April 29, it would be possible to obtain a category B driver’s license with a category C and CE driver’s license, shortening the training time and costs of the examinees.
In the justification, they also state that the change creates the possibility that a combined course that includes categories C and CE can also be started with a category B driver’s license.
As a result, the training time is shortened and the cost is reduced, which makes it possible for those taking part in the training to get to work faster, reducing the shortage of drivers in the transport market.
Currently, it is not possible to obtain category C and E driving licenses at the same time
Based on the current legislation, category C and E driving licenses cannot be obtained at the same time. The condition for the CE category is a valid category B and C non-beginner driver’s license, they added.
AC category driver’s license – with the exception of buses and trolleybuses – applies to cars with a maximum permissible total weight of 3,500 kilograms. It is also suitable for driving vehicle combinations consisting of a car and a light trailer.
The CE category entitles you to drive a combination consisting of a category C truck and a heavy trailer.
