Liverpool visited the home of mid-table Fulham in the current round of the Premier League, and since the great rival Arsenal won their match on Saturday, victory was a must for the Szoboszlais. Behind the two teams, defending champion Manchester City comes in third, one point behind, albeit with one less game played. If they were to win the league title, they would make history: no team has ever won four seasons in a row in the English league.
There are only five games left for Liverpool in this season’s Premier League, the last round will be played on May 19 – after which the players will have barely a month to rest before the European Championship.
