Szoboszlai only played a few minutes, but Liverpool still won, the English championship was super intense

--

Liverpool visited the home of mid-table Fulham in the current round of the Premier League, and since the great rival Arsenal won their match on Saturday, victory was a must for the Szoboszlais. The leading individual of the Hungarian national team only got a cameo role in the match, he came on as a substitute in the 86th minute, when the team was already leading 3:1 and was waiting to be blown away.

This was the final result, Liverpool’s goals were scored by Trend Alexander-Arnold (32nd minute), Ryan Gravenberch (53rd minute) and Diogo Jota (72nd minute).

The team is still in a huge fight for the league title, although the right to start in the Champions League (which goes to the top four in the Premier League) is practically certain. With 74 and 74 points scored in 33 games, Arsenal and Liverpool are in the first two places of the league, Szoboszlai’s are in second place only because of the worse goal difference. Behind the two teams, defending champion Manchester City comes in third, one point behind, albeit with one less game played. If they were to win the league title, they would make history: no team has ever won four seasons in a row in the English league.

There are only five games left for Liverpool in this season’s Premier League, the last round will be played on May 19 – after which the players will have barely a month to rest before the European Championship.
