At the press conference prior to the presentation of the Mother’s Day decorations, Zoltán Opauszki, the president of the Békéscsaba Tourist Association, said that the county group of the Giant Blankets, as well as Anita Szatmáriné Priskin, who heads Jamina Horgolda, and Imre Sós, station master of the tourist main station, are presenting a center of creativity in Békéscsaba, thanks to them there is always a new thoughts are born. He emphasized that he is confident that as many people as possible will see the special installation.

Imre Sós drew attention to the fact that the national media had already reported on the previously prepared special decorations that decorated the Békéscsaba Tourist Main Station.

Anita Szatmáriné Priskin said that the creation of the installation started as team building. The Giant Blanket group crochets blankets for children living in residential institutions, and there are already more than 20 people in Horgolda in Jamina, and young people join them from time to time. The 335 crocheted flowers and the 97 meters of crocheted “tree branches” that connect them in the decoration were born in about two months.
Reaching out to people and doing good
Anita Szatmáriné Priskin called it very important to reach out to people, to do good, and to process materials that would otherwise no longer be needed. The decoration will probably be visible until May 6 at the Békéscsaba Tourist Main Station, and from there it will be transferred to the Jamina Community Hall.
