The Chief Prosecutor’s Office of Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok County has charged the 17-year-old boy who attacked his teacher with a chair during class in October 2022, as a 9th-grade student at a school in Szolnok, for the attempted crime of bodily harm causing danger to life, the deputy press spokesman of the Chief Prosecutor’s Office announced in a statement on Friday. with MTI.
Rajmund Lánczi, the lead prosecutor of the Szolnok District Prosecutor’s Office, informed that the incident took place on October 24, 2022, during a class, where the student first made an insulting statement to the teacher, which he repeated in response to the victim’s question, adding that “I will kill you!”. The teacher sent the student out of the classroom, who then hit him with a chair raised above his head. The teacher raised his hand in defense, so the blow hit his arm, they wrote. The student then grabbed the chair with both hands and hit the victim several times; the blows hit the teacher’s arm and head. The teacher backed out of the room, but the accused followed her into the corridor, where he punched her several times in the face while she had already put down the chair. The teacher suffered bruises and fractures that took more than eight days to heal. The chair with a metal structure and wooden covering is capable of taking human life by causing skull and brain injuries, they pointed out.
