They presented the battery with which an electric car can travel a thousand kilometers at a time

Eight months after the market launch of the Shenxing super fast charging battery, CATL has come up with another development. The company presented Shenxing PLUS at the Auto China 2024 vehicle industry conference held in Beijing: a new product based on super-fast charging LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery technology, with 4C super-fast charging, it can reach a range of over 1,000 kilometers, thanks to which passengers can use a single charge they can take, for example, the Budapest-Florence route.

Shenxing Plus’ anode and cathode technology increases the battery’s energy density while effectively controlling volume expansion during charge and discharge cycles. The one-piece casing used for the first time in battery production also optimizes the use of interior space.

In addition to the long range, Shenxing Plus also offers super fast charging, it can provide a range of up to 600 km in just 10 minutes. With a charging speed of one kilometer per second, the new battery is unique on the market.

CATL is building one of the world’s largest battery factories in Debrecen.
