The state handed over an area of nearly twenty-five thousand square meters in the capital to the Reformed Church, and at the same time the building regulations of the area were also amended, wrote the district sub-organization of the Kétfarkú Kutya Párt.

Máté Kocsis and Gergely Gulyás passed the salad law of February last year in the parliament to hand over the affected area to the church “facilitating religious, educational and higher education goals” at address.

In January, Zoltán Balog received a nearly six hundred square meter palace building estimated at HUF 1.4 billion for his episcopal office – completely free of charge. According to the official justification, the service “in order to perform his official duties” it was necessary for the bishop to manage the affairs of his church district from a luxury property in the city center.

There is no need to carry out a settlement image opinion procedure for investments that ensure pass-through and are of particular importance from the point of view of the national economy, and information and professional consultation about this are not mandatory. There is no place for the preparation and application of a plan for the development of public space, the deadlines have been shortened.

According to the MKKP, according to the law on national property, real estate given by the state for free cannot be alienated for fifteen years. In recent years, however, the state has granted countless exemptions from this, so the church’s plan may even be to sell the property. The church can hand over the area, which currently has favorable green space and buildability indicators, to an investor at a good price within fifteen years, but if it likes, even sooner.

József Steinbach became the new pastor president of the Synod, who said in his inauguration speech on Wednesday:

“So we thank you for your spirituality, listening to the Word and praying for the past three and a half years. We thank you for the unity we experienced in the Council of the Synodal Presidency during this period. Processes that move everything and everyone have started.”
