For the program, whose chief patron is dr. László Őri, president of the Baranya County Municipality, took place in the ceremonial hall of the Baranya County Assembly on April 25.

At the event, specialists held lectures and round-table discussions focusing on important topics of local businesses and economic life. The topics of the presentations include the future of the counties of Pécs and Baranya, preparing companies for successful operation, and economic prospects for the county of Baranya here and beyond.

Dr. Péter Csizmadia, a lawyer and candidate for mayor, also gave a comprehensive presentation on the potential economic development opportunities of Pécs.

– The development of the city cannot be imagined without re-industrialization

Péter Csizmadia emphasized. In his presentation, he presented 3+1 pillars, through which the economic development and re-industrialization of the city can be realized.

First, he presented basic economic factors: industrial infrastructure, transport and the development possibilities of the labor market. He emphasized the role of EU and government funds and the importance of lobbying to obtain them. He highlighted the role of ecosystem building and the importance of comprehensive cooperation between the government, local government, chamber and university spheres. Finally, he presented the possibilities of income import, with special emphasis on the potential inherent in tourism and university development.

Among the presenters of the program was Dr. Csaba Alkonyi, a PTE manager of innovation, who spoke about issues of company management, and Mónika Kiss, senior strategic consultant of Prestige Zrt., who gave a presentation entitled “Economic prospects in Baranya County from here and beyond”.

A women’s round table discussion was also held during the conference, among the participants were Marietta Pohl (Baranya County Enterprise Center), Klaudetta Mrázik-Ördög (Vesta Home Ingatlan) and Bernadett Schweitzerné Hornicz (KARMA Pécsi Gloves). The conversation was moderated by Imre Vörös, the vice president of FIVOSZ Baranya County.

The event ended with networking, where the participants could also build personal relationships.
