– Europe has been struggling with the migration crisis for a decade. Hungary has been protecting its own borders and the external borders of the European Union against illegal migration for a decade. This is not an unknown role for us. Over the centuries, we have become accustomed to protecting the borders of Europe and the West. Of course, this did not make the task any easier or more pleasant – said János Bóka at CPAC Hungary.

The minister responsible for European Union affairs said that

in the last ten years, we spent more than one and a half billion euros on the protection of the external borders, and Brussels was willing to finance barely one percent of this.

– In addition, since they think our system is illegal, we are also cut off from the European Union’s asylum resources. Technical help, well, we didn’t get that from Brussels either. The European Union’s border guard agency, Frontex, on the other hand, withdrew from Hungary in a flash when it turned out that our borders are really borders, with a real border lock, and our border guards are really border guards and not hotel animators waiting for new guests, he added.

He pointed out that our country did not receive political support or solidarity from Brussels, since “in every existing forum we could hear that European values are being trampled underfoot.”

So we didn’t get money, help or solidarity, but we did get, for example, breach of duty proceedings. Not one, not even two, most recently, for example, yesterday. We also received a new migration pact, including a migrant quota and the possibility of mandatory relocation or a fine

János Bóka noted. He explained that, according to this, Hungary should ensure more than 28 percent of the procedures carried out at the border, and if this were not enough, they could require the acceptance of migrants from other member states in a crisis situation.

Who would have thought that a member state of barely ten million enjoys such great respect in Brussels, perhaps we are not even worthy of it

said the minister ironically. He then added,

– We also received a lot of smart and useful advice and recommendations from Brussels. For example, that illegal migration cannot be stopped anyway, so let’s tear down the border fence. Let’s be happy about mass migration, because migration is the best solution to the decline of the European population anyway. We see how well this works in Western Europe, it would certainly work well in Hungary as well. After all, honestly, which Hungarian settlement wouldn’t be happy if it finally had its own real no-go zone. Which of us would not be happy if mass demonstrations in support of terrorist organizations could finally be organized in the immediate vicinity of where we live – noted János Bóka.

I can say on behalf of all of us, thank you for the help from Brussels, they have done more than they could, especially in the last five years. Maybe you should get some rest now. Bad ideas combined with diligence is a very dangerous combination. A major change is needed in Brussels. Europe’s borders, both land and sea, must be protected. Protecting the borders means that we decide who can enter Europe. Non-international human trafficking gangs and the international NGO network. We have the right to decide who we want to live with in our own country. But we can only really exercise this right if we can protect our borders. Only those who are entitled to enter Europe

he added.

He drew attention to the fact that less than half of asylum seekers are actually entitled to asylum. Furthermore, it can be seen that, on average in Europe, we are able to send back less than a quarter of the unauthorized entrants later. – If someone wants to try their luck, these are not bad odds. It is no wonder that international organized crime makes fortunes on it. Asylum applications must be judged outside of Europe. There are already concrete initiatives, and more and more member states are exploring further possibilities. And illegal border crossers from safe countries must be escorted back across the border. This would be a logical and not complicated step. But he became a victim of international and European jurisprudence – János Bóka opined.
