Today, Hungary has a reputation in international politics – stated Viktor Orbán, Prime Minister of Hungary at the opening of CPAC. Based on these, Hungary is not significant, nor is it particularly interesting if you look at it from Washington, Brussels, Berlin, Moscow or Beijing.

According to the prime minister, it can also be exciting that we have lived here for more than a thousand years, and we have not lost a single trace of our independence. – But perhaps the most interesting thing is that while the whole of Europe was flooded by a progressive liberal ocean, a conservative island miraculously remained here, which not only defies, but survives, even prospers, even succeeds, even wins and wins again and again. God has brought you! he said. He believed that CPAC Hungary 2024 is a conservative conference in Europe that they do not want to ban, whose organizers are not threatened. They don’t want to make your family impossible, they don’t transport your car and they don’t kick it from one place to another, and they don’t even call the police, explained the Hungarian Prime Minister.
He recalled that all this happened last week in Brussels.
Things are different here. Despite all rumors, there is a rule of law here. Everyone organizes the conference they want. You rent the place you want. He says what he wants. This is how it goes here, Hungarians don’t like it when others interfere in their affairs

The Hungarian Prime Minister also greeted Irakli Kobakhidze, the Prime Minister of Georgia. – He is the prime minister who is considered a real political chess player back home, which is no wonder, since the thousand-year history of the Georgians is in itself a huge geopolitical chess game, how to preserve the unique language, culture and national identity against threatening and conquering great powers. This game of chess has been successfully played by the people of Georgia for many hundreds of years – introduced by Viktor Orbán. He then greeted Mateusz Morawiecki, the former Prime Minister of Poland.
We are old comrades-in-arms with him, we fought together in Brussels for sovereignty, to stop migration, and to protect our families and children. We, Poles and Hungarians, fought together for everything that was important to us and that the progressive left wanted to erase or even force on us.

Viktor Orbán: This is the year of practice
According to Viktor Orbán, this year, 2024, is not the year of theory, but of practice. There will be elections all over the world and these elections must be won. These elections coincide with major world political and geopolitical trend reversals. The order of the world is changing, and we have to win our cause in the midst of the changes, he declared. He emphasized that the progressive liberals feel the danger.
Therefore, remember that they are determined to do everything, they do not shy away from anything, and now they are still in power. Dangerous opponents
he added. According to the Prime Minister, the liberals will also use state bodies against us if necessary.
Our American friends say it, and it’s all happening before our eyes. This is what happens to us Hungarians all the time in Brussels. This is what is happening to President Trump in America. We are rooting for him to win his own rights not only in the elections, but also in court
– He told. Viktor Orbán warned: the opponents sit in the seats of power at the head of the institutions and master how to deal with those who disagree with them instead of serving the public good. As he said, you have to win in this situation.
We saw how the communists built up political oppression. But I don’t think everyone in the West knows this, so let’s take a few minutes now. My dear friends, in the past the communists, and now the progressives, sing the cheese out of our mouths in five steps and get there in five steps to make state bodies a tool of oppression. First, they redefine what is normal. George Orwell saw this before. For progressive liberals, the first step in their oppression is to make normal mean its exact opposite.

The second step is that the inverted normality begins to be spread with state means: anyone who thinks differently is problematic, there is something wrong with them. According to the liberals, we have to create the impression that if we listen to them, it would lead to some kind of fatal disaster. According to Viktor Orbán, the third step is to spread the word about the fact that a conservative, because he holds dangerous views, is also a security risk.
They send you some kind of fact checker or democracy watchdog, which then determines that you do not share the views of normality that they promote, therefore you are a radical whose freedom of speech can be boldly restricted. Then, in the fourth step, the liberal press incites you. Activists are put in the military, who are then silenced by legal means. The world of false profiles on the Internet, reporting on social media, and the hordes of civilians bombarding courts and public bodies with reports is coming. And if you can still take it, and if you are still on your feet, then in the fifth step, the state bodies will also take action
– He told. He noted that in this way the state bodies will become the private institutions of the progressives. They state that the accusations of the press, “the concerns of the watchdogs are well-founded, they will initiate proceedings against you and finally silence you with state means”. He added: this is what they do with Hungary in Brussels, and this is what they do with the conservatives in the progressive, liberal European capitals. The same is happening in the United States, when they want to remove President Donald Trump from the ballot with court rulings. According to Viktor Orbán, this also happened in the European Union when they tried to ban Tucker Carlson by administrative means. This is what happens in Germany when political parties are monitored using secret service methods. And this is what happened when in Finland they wanted to condemn a politician and a bishop for quoting from the Holy Scriptures. The Prime Minister stated: the progressive, liberal spirit of the world as it is has failed.
