As part of the Veszprém-Balaton European Capital of Culture 2023 program, the Hungarian Motion Picture Festival and the Cinemira International Children’s and Youth Film Festival jointly announce a video competition for young people under 20 years of age. Films of a maximum of 1.5 minutes can be entered in three categories.

THE Happiness and LEGO for entries Hea cool jury will decide on the winners, such as musician Peti Puskás-Dallos, Jázmin Hollós from MOME, photographer Benedek Lampert and film and video clip director Izabella Mazzag.

Actor Blanka Mészáros, directors László Csáki and Ádám Breier will select the best ones for the Mobilbalatonos short films. The entry deadline is May 30.

The winners can win LEGO sets, concert tickets, VIP tickets to the STRAND festival, and can also participate in a one-day professional workshop at the Zsigmond Vilmos Institute of Motion Picture Arts. The best works from Balaton will be shown on the big screen at the Hungarian Motion Picture Festival on June 14.
