The representative body of the Paks municipality discussed nearly twenty agenda items at its April 17 meeting. First, the board voted on a technical amendment to the budget, which included, among other things, a 17.6 percent inflationary increase in the salary of the Paks mayor’s office workers, the transfer of decisions made on works carried out from the local government reserve, the costs of the construction of temporary bus stops, the renovation of the Fehérvár út bus stop, and it was necessary because of the appropriations intended for planning the renovation of the Tolnai út sidewalk and the road renovation of the connecting sidewalk in Ürgemeze.

More needy people can get support

The board amended the decree on social and child welfare benefits and social and child welfare administration: in order to improve the living conditions of the needy, the governing income limits have been raised before, and this has been done for some types of benefits, so that as many people as possible can use them, TelePaks wrote. Due to the planning of bicycle-friendly public roads affecting Paks, it was decided to accept the approval documentation and to ensure consistency with the settlement development plans, to accept the amendment to the settlement structure plan, and also to accept the amendment to the ordinance on the city’s building regulations.

The meeting also commented on the reorganization of the Antal Balogh Catholic Kindergarten, Primary School and High School in Paksi. The Diocese of Pécs amends the founding document of the institution it maintains, according to which the eight-grade high school section will be eliminated this school year, and the number of four-year training personnel will be changed to 85. The board also decided to buy the property in Zöldfa utca whose residents were disturbed by the noise from Sárgödör tér. Both parties benefit from this decision, the municipality can even use the property as a community space in the future.

The board of Paks approved the support of the Gastroblues Foundation

They decided to sell the vehicles owned by Protheus Holding Zrt., which was liquidated without a legal successor, to Paksi Közlekedési Kft., and then approved the support of the Gastroblues Foundation in the amount of HUF 20 million. The foundation will use the amount to organize the 32nd Gastroblues Festival. The board also decided on the acquisition of real estate in connection with the second phase of the residential area development north of Pollack Mihály Street.

Applications for heads of institutions were judged

In a closed meeting, applications for institutional managers were judged and two prizes were awarded. Anette Bíró Bíró Hollendus was appointed as the institution manager of the Paksi Benedek Elek Kindergarten for five years from August 1. Adrienn Molnár, the former head, was also appointed head of the institution of Paksi Napsugár Óvoda for five years from August 1, while Melinda Lukácsi-Magyar remains the head of institution of Paksi Bóbita Bölcsőde és Konyha, according to the decision of the board, and her mandate is also for five years, July 2029. It lasts until the 29th.

Pursuant to the board’s decision, Dr. Paks City Public Safety Award Police Lt. Col. Judit Schütz, head of the Administrative Police Department of the Paks City Police Department, while the Paks City Sports Award goes to Vanda Janóczkiné Kiszli, marathon kayak athlete of the Nuclear Power Plant SE. The awards will be presented to the awardees later in a ceremony.
