The innovative equipment developed by Russian engineers will be located under the reactor vessel and will be suitable for receiving zone melt in the event of its damage.
The significant milestone that can be noted is Paks II. in the history of the project, that the zonal melt trap of block 5, which is the heaviest piece of equipment in the nuclear power plant, was completed: It weighs more than 730 tons, and its height exceeds 15 meters.
