The first plant exchange at the beginning of April at the small market next to the Tabáni church in Vásárhely was so popular that the team’s coordinators organized additional events. They can be found at the Szabadság tér market on Saturday, April 27, between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., followed by two more occasions: on Saturday, May 11, between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., and on Friday, June 7, between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.

As it was the first time, the circulation of money is also prohibited from now on. But instead, you can bring an exchange plant or, as currency, tea grass, flower seeds, jam, syrup, pickles, apples, muesli bars, wine, granulated sugar, or anything that the plant offeror would be happy with.

The most recent meeting was also organized by the Hódmezővásárhely Community for Plant Exchange, which has been operating on the community site until now and has 2,700 members. None of the founders of the group, Dorka Gyarmati, expected such a great success, and they organized the following occasions, inspired by it. In addition, many donations were received, from zebra plants to hazelnut bushes to chestnut trees, which were donated to kindergartens and schools in the framework of the so-called Ovikommando. The charity campaign will not be missed this time either, in fact, they are waiting for indications from the institutions as to which plants they would like to receive.

As the founder of the group, Dorka Gyarmati, recently told our newspaper, they have formed into a real community. Many of the members of the Cserebere page got into gardening almost from scratch, with minimal knowledge, and then flourished their yard with the help of more experienced people.
