About 40 exhibitors took part in the Career Day of the MATE Kaposvári Campus on Tuesday. The purpose of the event is to help students build a career and find a job.

Dávid Szalafai, a first-year mechanical engineering student at the MATE Kaposvári Campus, inquired at the stand of the Kaposvári Sugar Factory. – I consider dual training to be a very good opportunity, so I would like to participate in it. I think that I will be able to get a job easily with this profession. The dual partners of the Campus were also represented at the event. József Pető, the technical manager of Szabó Fogaskerékgyártó Kft., said that it is very important for them to cooperate with the MATE Kaposvári Campus and take part in its dual training. – Two mechanical engineering students are currently studying the profession at the company, we are confident that they will find employment with us after obtaining their university diploma. Balázs Fábián, the managing director of Videoton, emphasized the importance of technical supply. – Technological development requires a workforce with higher qualifications. We are constantly looking for mechanical engineers, which is why we deepened our relationship with MATE’s Kaposvári Campus.

The Career Day has a history of more than two decades at the university. – It is very important that demand and supply meet each other, as a university we have a great responsibility in this. Today, nearly forty of our partners are participating as exhibitors at the Career Day. The dominant market players from the machinery industry, the food industry, and agriculture are also present here. In addition, local schools and kindergartens are also looking for future employees.
The Director General added that results have already been achieved in three important areas. – Among the most important goals is that the Kaposvári Campus contributes to increasing the retaining power of the countryside, maintains close relations with market players, and responds quickly to the needs of the labor market.

The students could also participate in various trainings. – Self-awareness is very important when looking for a job, we need to know who we are, and if we know ourselves, then we need to be able to express this, for example, with our clothes. The most important thing is to be in balance with ourselves, so we can be persuasive in a job interview as well – emphasized trainer Évi Sipos.
