After Szeged, the Csongrád-Csanád Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CSMKIK) is launching a free robotics course in Szentes for those 5-8. for young people who like to program and build robots. The course will last from May 7 to June 20, the students meet every week on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 4:30 to 6:30. It is important that the chamber does not only welcome students from Szentes, but also welcomes participants from other settlements.

Over the course of six weeks, László Lucza, a teacher at the József Koszta Primary School in Szentes, will work with the students, who will learn about Scratch programming, the Kodu interface and creating independent games, the Appinventor interface, creating simple applications in it, and Edison robots. The 15-person course is hosted by the City Library.

It is important that participation is free, but registration is required due to the limited number of people. You can apply by filling out a form on the CSMKIK website. Preference is given to those newly interested in the profession and relatives of voluntary chamber members.

Gábor Horváth, CSMKIK’s head of training, has previously emphasized that in connection with the robotics sessions: during the workshops and camps, children acquire skills such as joint thinking or the creation of project work, which qualities are very important to acquire at a young age. In addition to robotics, an important aspect is that they work in a team, they have to adapt to each other.
