University of Miskolc | Health science courses in a new practice building

In University City, the investment involving the transformation of the building of the former Applied Geosciences Research Institute was taken over with a series of prevention and rehabilitation programs called “moveMEnt” supporting the health of university citizens.

“We have arrived”, said the dean of the faculty, Dr. Emőke Kiss-Tóth, at the official handing over of the training building of the Faculty of Health Sciences, which is integrally integrated into the training offer of the University of Miskolc. He highlighted: the expansion of their training and the introduction of new majors is a priority area of ​​development at the University of Miskolc, where they take an active role in the development and implementation of the health promotion strategy. In this way, the faculty can also contribute to the health preservation of university citizens and support the development of a health-conscious lifestyle.

“The interest in the health sciences courses at the University of Miskolc is growing sharply, which proves the valuable teaching work that is carried out at the faculty,” said rector Prof. Dr. Zita Horváth at the celebratory event. He emphasized: the construction of the new building of the Faculty of Health Sciences was carried out by the university with its own funds, relying on its own resources. The management of the project is an example of how high-quality developments can be implemented on your own, he added.
