The Somogy County Government Office has been committed to protecting the environment and cleaning it from waste for many years, which is why it joined the initiative this year as well.
This week, the government officials are grabbing gloves and bags in the area of ​​all eight district offices to collect discarded or illegally dumped waste in their narrower or wider surroundings. In Kaposvár, the employees of the Department of Environmental Protection, Nature Conservation and Waste Management marched to the area in front of the Füredi úti industrial park, where the garbage bags at their disposal were filled very quickly.

In addition to fulfilling our official duties, we consider it important to draw attention to the possibilities of reducing the amount of waste generated, whether it is recycling or community waste collection

– He told Dr. Zsolt Neszményi foreman, who also did his share of the work. – This is one of the most important of our social roles, with which we not only clean up our environment, but also set a good example for everyone. We trust that this good practice also has an attitude-shaping effect, added the headmaster.
The TeZedd! during action week, the government officials, about 150 in total, will be on the move throughout the county to clean up their surroundings.

A fine of forty-five million was imposed

Chief Dr. Zsolt Neszményi also said that the office’s waste management department received a total of more than 10,000 tons of illegally abandoned waste last year and so far this year, and held 918 waste management-related official inspections in its area of ​​jurisdiction. – The amount of the imposed fine exceeded HUF 45 million – added Dr. Zsolt Neszmény.
