In April 1994, 11 pensioners’ clubs in Kecskemét established the pensioners’ association uniting the city’s pensioners, which still works with unbroken momentum to enforce the human, civil, social and material rights of pensioners and the elderly, and to strengthen cultural and personal relations. Today, the association unites 36 organizations, which, with 1,500 members, is the largest civil organization in the county seat. The members of the association celebrated with a jubilee gala program on Tuesday evening in the Hírös Agórá.
