In his greeting, Csaba Ökrös – who also presented the award to the athletes of the year during the ceremony – praised the role played by those participating in the vote in building community and shaping people’s attitudes.

After receiving the award, Attila Szabó spoke to our news portal.
– The invitation itself was very honorable, as well as the fact that I was able to participate in the voting together with excellent people. I was very happy that in the end the readers awarded me the award, but not only me, but also all my colleagues and the cause of animal protection itself received this recognition – said Attila Szabó, adding that he was also grateful to the voters for considering him worthy.
– We receive a lot of feedback from the kindergartens and schools where we give our lectures that it is worth our work, and the recognition gives us even more strength to continue this – said the winner.

Attila Szabó emphasized that he was already happy that through his person the public’s attention was directed to the issue of animal protection, since there are many problems in this area. Examples include poor animal husbandry, intentional animal cruelty or the killing of animals.
– We believe that we can eliminate these problems by educating the young generation, by passing on knowledge in society, and of course with the strictest possible punishment. By shaping attitudes, we can help animals have a nice life alongside humans, and well-kept animals can also beautify people’s lives – emphasized Attila Szabó. Argos employees visit kindergartens and schools in the county and the country throughout the year, last year they were with more than 9,700 children, and this year they want to reach 10,000 children.
