Holcim is waiting for applications from 31 affected municipalities in the fields of education, skill development, infrastructure development, environmental protection and health preservation. The purpose of the Community Value Program (KÉP) is to develop and support the communities around the Királyegyházi Cement Factory and Bükkösdi Quarry. The framework amount of the tender is HUF 5 million, and the maximum amount of support that can be obtained with one project will be HUF 750,000. The social utility of the Holcim Community Value Program was recognized last year with the “Effekt 2030 – ESG solutions” Award.
For the 12th time, Holcim Magyarország Kft. is now announcing its Community Value Program (KÉP) application, the purpose of which is to encourage and support long-term sustainable projects that promote local, residential cooperation in the settlements near the Királyegyházi Cement Factory and the Bükkösdi Quarry.
KÉP for the development and support of local communities
Holcim is committed to supporting local communities and sustainability. This is why Holcim Magyarország Kft. has been announcing its Community Value Program (abbreviated: KÉP) every year since 2018, within the framework of which it supports sustainable, development-oriented programs based on the needs of local communities and strengthening the cohesion and cooperation of the people living in the settlement in the following areas:
• education, skill development,
• health care,
• environmental protection, climate protection,
• development of infrastructure supporting local communities,
• other initiatives aimed at promoting and developing local community life.
The success of the application is evidenced on the one hand by the more than 140 projects implemented in 18 settlements during the 11 application cycles so far, with a contribution of HUF 45 million, and on the other hand by the “Effekt 2030 – ESG solutions” award won last October, which recognized the importance of the program’s social impact.
Tender support for local communities
Civil organizations (associations, foundations, public foundations, associations), SMEs and social cooperatives, as well as non-profit SMEs can apply for the tender that meet the conditions in the call for tenders: they do not engage in political activity and have their registered office and the project they are planning its implementation site is also in 31 settlements located in the immediate catchment area of the Királyegyházi Cement Factory and the Bükkösdi Quarry. The exact list of settlements can be found on the website of Holcim Magyarország Kft.
In the current application period, applications can be submitted online until May 24, 2024. The supported projects will have to be implemented between July 1 and December 15, 2024. Among the tenders submitted, in accordance with the sustainability objectives of Holcim Magyarország Kft., special attention will be given to projects that are implemented in the spirit of environmental protection and sustainability.
