The plane that had to land in Kazakhstan because of a drunk Korean woman left Budapest

--

A Korean woman who drank more than she should was kicking, hobbling, and yelling before taking her seat on the direct LOT flight from Budapest to Seoul on Monday, Rtl reports based on Korean SBS News. Regarding what happened, the Polish airline said that the woman is expected to be blacklisted and will not be able to travel on a LOT plane in the future, and that the financial damage caused will be paid with her.

The drunk woman was completely undressed, and after she failed to calm down for three hours – despite her family and the plane’s crew trying to calm her down – the plane had to make an emergency landing in Kazakhstan. The authorities were already at the Astana airport when the LOT plane landed. The woman was arrested, after which she fell asleep shortly after, and when she woke up, she claimed not to remember anything that had happened.

The plane then continued its journey and arrived at Incheon International Airport in South Korea three hours late on Tuesday, where the Korean police were already waiting for the woman. According to the flight safety rules, the woman can face up to three years in prison or a fine of eight million forints.
