The children of Garden City in Szolnok made their kindergarten flowery – with a gallery

The Auchan shopping center participates in charity events throughout the year and regularly supports large families, associations and educational institutions. This year, on the occasion of Earth Day, they organized flower planting for their employees as a voluntary program.

The Szolnok Városért Egyesület helped them decide where to work with the offered flowers, and they got to the Kertváros Kindergarten through them. Kindergarteners, teachers and parents of the district worked together to ensure that the plants were planted in the nutritious soil as soon as possible. Everyone took part in the planting, and the greening program was filled with great atmosphere.

This event was part of the recent Sustainability Week (by the way, this is a special theme week of the Szolnok Municipal Kindergartens, each member institution has a different program). The Kindergarteners in Garden City also took part in a number of nature-friendly programs related to environmental protection. After the flower planting, Enikő Helt held a falconry demonstration. The children listened and watched the specialist and his birds with wide-open eyes and great excitement. At the end, the bravest could even pet the bald eagle.
